Healing After the Loss of a Loved One Due to Addiction.  The 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Aurora West Allis Medical Center8901 W. This group provides a supportive environment that fosters healing, hope, and recovery with consideration of the unique circumstances of a substance use passing of a loved one.  REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. Local Churches

Don’t forget the local church, synagogue, or mosque. Many faith traditions offer grief support services and memorial services during the course of the year. Pastors, priests, rabbis, lay ministers, Stephen and Be-Friender Ministries, and Care Ministry may be of comfort in helping to assist with the process of bereavement.

Professional Grief Counseling

While the experience of loss, anger, and sadness is a necessary part of grief work, it can be difficult for some to do without professional support. Professional counselors play an important role in facilitating healthy grieving and observing signs of complicated grief that can lead to major depression.
